In the wake of last week's Star Wars: Battlefront event, which among other things gave us the games's first proper trailer, interesting news about the game has become a daily occurrence. Much of this is due to the developers at Dice being more than willing to answer questions from fans on Twitter.
This way we have learned that game will run with 60 fps on console and PC alike, which is great news. On the darker side of things it has also been confirmed that the split-screen option will only be available on console, and not if you want to play online. Playing split-screen is thus reserved for co-op missions against AI controlled bots:
"Split-screen is for local play only, so it is for when you play Missions with a friend", Dice' Niklas Fegraeus tweets.
And lastly, DICE has also confirmed that there will be more than 8 maps to choose from at launch, with each planet boasting at least two different arenas:
"There will be more maps than 8, and more than two per planet at launch", Fegraeus explains in a different tweet.
Star Wars: Battlefront is due to launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 17, so about a month before the upcoming movie titled Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (December 18).
