Developer Netherrealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. have reason to celebrate as Mortal Kombat X is this week's number one on the UK charts. Additionally the game registered the best ever launch week in franchise history (in the UK) and the second biggest launch of the year behind Battlefield: Hardline. The game was the most popular on PS4 (61%, with 38% on Xbox One, and 1% on PC). Meanwhile Grand Theft Auto IV enjoyed a 94% boost in sales as the PC version finally arrived on store shelves and secured the number two position.

It should (as always) be mentioned that this list only reflects the physical retail sales of games, and doesn't factor in sales on Steam, PSN, Xbox Live or Nintendo eShop.
