NetherRealm's Tyler Lansdown recently confirmed that there are going to be "easy fatalities" in Mortal Kombat X, but what we didn't know until we saw the following images (one posted on Neogaf, the other by journalist Jeff Gerstmanm) is that it looks like players will be able to purchase a set number of these easy finishers, and thus perform the well-known and bone-crunching fatalities that have become the signature mark of the series.
It doesn't look like newcomers will have an easier time of it when it comes to the combat, even if they are able to enjoy the more theatrical side of the game. That said, it does look like there will be additional, more advanced fatalities for players to master, not just the easier, purchasable ones, which should satisfy purists and long-time fans. The question is: will purchasable finishing moves cheapen the experience?
