Despite some prosperous recent years, AMD ended 2014 in the red, losing a lot of money (for a variety of reasons). Now the Korean newspaper Hankook is reporting that Samsung might be interested in buying the company.
This is not the first time Samsung has been said to be interested in AMD, and the processor market seems like a logical step considered how they reportedly want to take market shares from Intel.
This would of course also give Samsung an advantage in the graphics department, thank to their strong portfolio of high-end cards. Considering how hard it is for the considerably smaller AMD to compete against Intel and Nvidia, they'd surely benefit from Samsung's economic muscle.
Thanks, Sweclockers.
