With the release of Assassin's Creed II on the PC yesterday, it seems that the public outcry against Ubisoft's newest DRM scheme has made the company release a patch. The patch does one thing, and one thing alone; instead of throwing you out of the game when your internet connection goes down and losing your progress since your last save, the game will instead let you start from where you got kicked out from.

The whole question about whether or not this whole DRM business is actually good for business in the end it still up for debate amongst gamers, developers and company execs. All we know is that we want to play our games.

Assassin's Creed II is available on multiple platforms, including PS3, 360 and PC.
