Many of you may recall that earlier this year there were some rumours pointing to a possible cancellation of The Last Guardian - Team Ico's highly anticipated game announced back in 2007 for PlayStation 3. The news naturally caused a bit of panic among fans who still wait for the game. Fortunately, it turns out that Sony had simply forgotten to renew the trademark to United States Patent and Trademark Office, and the company has confirmed that the "game is still in development".
Now, it seems there are other (good) news coming about The Last Guardian, that could reassure all the gamers. According to reports on NeoGAF, a new trademark for a Last Guardian game has been filed on March 12, and it is currently pending approval according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (as you can see in the image below).
So, it seems Sony is still interesting in the project and they don't want let it die. We hope to have some more information about it very soon, but at this point it would be silly to make any estimations.
