Yesterday, Playstation 3-owners (at least those with the "old" PS3) around the world were hit with the mysterious "8001050F"-error which left their machine unable to play games and corrupted trophies. With Monday becoming Tuesday it seems like problem is over, which makes the theory that this was all date-related more credible.
No official word from Sony, nor a green light that everything is back to normal, at the time of writing. But reports that games are starting again and that trophies return after a synch have started to show up, so it looks as if the ApocalyPS3 (as the whole thing became known) is over. Now we just wait for Sony to tell us what really happened.
