We've all heard the story about how Microsoft bought Mojang and Minecraft for a hefty price tag of $2.5 billion. The lions share of the money went straight to the founder, Markus "Notch" Persson. Now Forbes has made a list of the wealthiest people in the world, and Persson is on it, sharing the space with no other that the Valve founder Gabe Newell.

According to the list, they both have around $1.3 billion stuffed in their mattresses. That should, indeed, be enough for a really fun weekend, but it is still peanuts compared to the list's number one, which is once again Bill Gates. His fortune is now estimated to be $79.2 billion, and this despite the fact that he has single-handedly been giving $28 billion to charity through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
