Sid Meier's Starships is due out very soon (sooner than you might have expected) as will launch on March 12. The information was revealed on Twitter, and it confirmed simultaneous launch date for all platforms (PC/Mac and iPad).
Starships is a tactical strategy game, that has story links to Civilization: Beyond Earth, and can be seen as a continuation of the universe first experience in Firaxis' 4X effort that saw release in 2014.
