It looked like the writing might be on the wall for the much-delayed PS Plus version of Driveclub after it emerged yesterday that Sony's Jim Ryan had refused to confirm that it would ever launch at all. However, since then the platform holder has moved to assure fans that work is still in progress.
"We are continually working on improving the server capacity to enable us to launch the PS Plus Edition as quickly as possible," a Sony spokesperson told Eurogamer. "Although currently we do not have an update regarding the timing for the launch."
Driveclub released back in October and was plagued by technical issues, and as such the planned free PS Plus version of the game was held back. Late last year it looked like the end was in sight, but there's still no sign of a release date.
