505 Games have put their hands on the Grease license and have selected Zoë Mode (Wii) and Big Head Games (DS) to develop games based on the license. The classic musical film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John from 1978 won't get your typical film to video game adaptation with Zoë Mode put in charge. They are best for their work on the Singstar series, as well as Eye Toy: Play and Disney Sing It.

Here are a few quotes from the press release:

"For this project we knew we had to employ developers of a certain calibre in order to really bring the Grease magic to the world of video games," commented Ian Howe, Managing Director, 505 Games. "In Zoë Mode and Big Head Games, we feel we have found the talent required to give this film the game it deserves."

"Grease is an iconic brand that has spanned generations and we are thrilled to be charged with the responsibility of bringing the Grease legacy to a new medium," said Ed Daly, General Manager of Zoë Mode.

Managing Director of Big Head Games, Dave Vout commented, "We're very excited by this project as Grease is the one film everyone remembers. It's a true classic and we hope to do it justice".

Now you're probably thinking "tell me more, tell me more...", but unfortunately this is all we can tell you at this point.
