5.7 million Amiibos sold

The Amiibos has become a monstrous success for Nintendo, and the platform holder has now revealed that they've sold no less than 5.7 million of them since their launch last year.

Almost two thirds of them has been sold in the US/Canada, and as you can see in the pie chart below, they are twice as popular in Europe as they are in Japan.

The best selling character by far is Link from the Zelda series, all over the world - as long as you aren't an Aussie. They seem to prefer both Mario and Pikachu Down Under. Here's the chart with the top 10 Amiibos from the four biggest regions in terms of sales.
