According to a recent earnings report, Activision/Blizzard has announced some really interesting data relating to two of their most important and loved by players franchise. According to the document, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft has more than 25 million registered players, while Destiny, Bungie's popular shooter, has over 16 million users reported to date.

Furthermore, Destiny has been confirmed as the top-selling new IP in video game history. According to Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision:

"Combined, these franchises attracted over 40 million registered players worldwide and generated more than $850 million in non-GAAP revenue". Regarding GAAP revenue, however, both games have raised $450 million in 2014.

World of Warcraft keeps on going strong with over 10 million subscribers globally. Regarding Call of Duty, the series continues to have great success, especially in the US, accounting for more than $11 billion in revenue since its launch in 2003, and for the sixth consecutive year, it remains the best selling title in North America.
