Do you remember Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising, the MMO that was in production at Perpetual Entertainment before they cancelled both it and Star Trek Online (that then ended up at Cryptic Entertainment) and went belly up? If so, you might be happy to know that Heatwave Interactive has picked it up from whatever weird circle of Hell MMOs go to when they are cancelled before release.

Heatwave also gains access to the PlayGrid platform, the associated online game publishing technology, and two development engines that Perpetual had created for Gods & Heroes and their version of Star Trek Online. Heatwave will launch their so called Platinum Life, a game where you are supposed to become a "music icon" by struggling your way from the "mean streets to the penthouse suites", for social networks and the web in March. Another game in development is the iPhone app iSamJackson, which is a "soundboard app that features a extensive collection of original and authentic recorded quotes, humorous adages and sage insight all provided by mega-celebrity Samuel L. Jackson".

Yeah, sounds like just the kind of company that should pick up and run an already cancelled MMO...
