White Knuckle IP, LLC have used a patent (dating back to 2002, active since 2009 and published in 2013) that details updates in sports games in order to bring a lawsuit against EA for their updates in NCAA Football 10-14 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10-14. The patent is fairly wide and deals with any number of updates such as players and conditions. While the exact features challenged aren't specified, it is thought that the lawsuit targets changes in the stadiums and venues.

What will come of this? Only the lawyers know.
