Phil Spencer is the head of the head of Microsoft's Xbox division, but he has also some big words about the company's next OS. Microsoft will remain committed to console gaming with Xbox One, but they are also focusing on the gaming side of Windows 10:
"We know that we have fans and gamers who also play on PC and phone and it's important that we build out the features that we have, learning from what we've done on console and helping making Windows 10 the best operating system we've ever created for gamers on PCs", Spencer said.
What does this actually means remains to be seen. What parts of console gaming do they want to implement to PC gaming is a huge question mark, and a territory they should probably tread very lightly, as the wars between console and computer gamers might get some fuel from this announcement. In the past Microsoft have tried to close the gap between console and PC gaming with less than satisfactory results...
Thanks, MCV.
