Microsoft has announced that Xbox One was the best selling console in North America in December 2014, according to NPD Group data, and this is the second consecutive month that sales of Microsoft's new gen platform exceeds those of PS4.
To celebrate this new important step, Microsoft will cut the price, but only in the US market, from today (January 16th) and now you can buy an Xbox One at $349.
Mike Nichols, corporate vice president of marketing for Xbox, said:
"Building off a record-setting holiday, we are excited to announce a new promotion in which fans in the U.S. can buy an Xbox One at a special price of $349, starting tomorrow, January 16, from their preferred retailer".
"We are thankful for all the excitement for Xbox One this holiday and proud to offer more fans the amazing games lineup, Xbox Live gaming community, and continual innovation that Xbox One fans have come to enjoy."
Of course, Xbox One sold for $349 in November and December and the price had only been back up to $399 since January 3.
