Bethesda's Phil Hines has talked to USA Today about the upcoming Fallout: New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda. According to Hines it will take "hundreds of hours to explore every nook and cranny" and that the story of the game is self-contained "but you will eventually hear a little bit about the events [of Fallout 3]".

Other details include Vegas not being a ghost town, that you can go down to the Strip and gamble and that compared to the other games you won't start out as a vault dweller (but we knew that already). Check out the full interview with Phil at the USA Today website.
