Sony has introduced a new Sony Walkman called the Walkman ZX2 at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. It's aimed pretty exclusively at high-end audiophiles who are willing to pay $1199 USD when the machine starts selling in spring.
For that level of investment they get a pretty heavy and chunky-looking device with a rounded gold-toned headphone jack and a microSD slot to add to the 128GB built-in storage. The new Walkman is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, allowing you to download and play apps from Google Play. But it's all about audio on this one, supporting formats like DSD, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, Apple Lossless and more. It allows Bluetooth for wireless streaming and NFC for quick connection to speakers and headphones.
