As most of you are aware, there were some problems with PSN and Xbox Live over the holidays, with cyber bullies Lizard Squad claiming the hack that hit gaming networks at a time when plenty of people were trying to boot up new games (or even new consoles) for the first time.
Sony has, in response to the outages endured by players, offered a small amount of compensation to those affected over the holiday period. As detailed in a blogpost, the platform holder is going to give players five days of PS Plus for free (if you had a subscription or trial active on December 25), as well as offering a one-time discount (you'll be able to get 10 percent off a total cart purchase - that includes movies and DLC).
Sony has also confirmed the latest free games for PS Plus subscribers. To find out which games are hitting PS3, PS4 and PS Vita in January, head this way.
