How would a new Halo game look in 2037? On which console will we play it in 23 years? Will consoles even exist anymore? Those are a few questions franchise fans could be reflecting on right now, between The Master Chief Collection matches.

As the recent expansion of the franchise shows, and as Bonnie Ross planned seven years ago, Microsoft intention is for Halo to stay relevant until, at least, thirty years from 343 Industries' foundation. For comparison, by then it would be as old as Super Mario is today, with first SMB game turning 30 next year.

Studio general manager recalls company creation was "crazy", in a recent interview with business site Bloomberg. "It was the most challenging thing I've ever done."

After Halo: The Master Chief Collection recent and troubled launch, Xbox One will get its first proper entry with Halo 5: Guardians next summer. Check out our recent impressions for more info and then try imagine what the future Halo could be, when it's as old as Super Mario.
