The mighty country of China is no longer barred from the rest of the gaming world, and in September Microsoft released their Xbox One on the Chinese market. In exactly one month, on January 11, Sony will follow in Microsoft's footsteps with PlayStation 4.
With a price point of 2,899 Renminbi (roughly $470) the Chinese PS4 comes in significantly cheaper than Kinect-less Xbox One at about $598, giving Sony a chance to close the gap on its rival and possibly overtake them in yet another market.
Either way, with the 14-year ban on consoles finally lifted in China, its citizen are in for many threats both old and new the coming years.
