Aion 3.0 Update

Gameforge has released some information regarding MMO Aion's most extensive update so far. The 3.0 update will see many improvements, most notably there will be two new areas and a mount system.

Two new areas, Sarpan and Tiamaranta are being introduced, and they're aimed at level 55+ players (the level limit is also being increased to 60). Across both new areas there will be six new instances, with enemies dropping high-level items.

Sarpan will include neutral territories and free PvP areas. Tiamaranta can reached through Sarpan's capital, Kamar City. This area is aimed at high level PvP enthusiasts, with several fortresses to be fought over.

Another major new feature will be the introduction of mounts, both on the ground and in the air. In addition to helping players travel more quickly, a new sprint function means an extra short speed bonus. Mounts are purchasable from NPC merchants, and you can even produce your own via crafting.
