Industry heavyweight Peter Molyneux has announced his next game at The Fun & Serious Games Festival in Bilbao, Spain. The title is - according to Guy Cocker - The Trail, and it's the next game from Molyneux's studio 22 Cans, following on from their work on Godus and Curiosity. Not much is known about the new game, so expect more news on this title in the very near future.

Update

The Trail is actually called The Trial, and the new details don't stop there. The game is going to be focused on social (FB etc) interaction and scoreboards. It was also confirmed that it's being made for smart devices.

Apparently the concept will be so simple that we'll grasp it at first sight, and that it will fascinate in 5 seconds. Players will communicate in different ways, including with music or drawings.

As it's a Molyneux game there a couple of lofty ambitions in there, notably they want people to care more about others than themselves in the game space. It's also mentioned that it will address mistakes made in Godus: namely the lack of reward, narrative and feelings in 22 Cans' previous title.
