Bungie is "considering different ways" of making Destiny more accessible for solo players, specifically with regards to the three-player Strikes that were changed in a recent update.
"We were looking over the data from Strikes and found that some unintentional damage scaling was occurring based on team size," designer James Tsai said on Bungie.net.
"We made a couple of changes. Players can now be certain that people joining their team are helping their progress, not hindering it."
According to the post larger groups have inadvertently been taking more damage, thus it was sometimes easier for players to go it alone. Bungie has fixed this, and in the process they've made it harder for solo players.
"The side effect of this change is that playing Strikes solo has indeed become a little harder," Tsai confirmed. "We acknowledge that this is undesirable for many players and we are considering different ways to solve these problems."
"We'll continue to have conversations about how to support the solo player over the longer term," community manager David "Deej" Dague said at the end of that part of the post.
