Microsoft celebrates one year with Xbox One

Gifts for Xbox One owners in launch territories announced.

Microsoft and Major Nelson have announced some celebration plans as they celebrate one year with Xbox One (released November 22, 2013). Some fun stats include more than 11 billion in gamerscore on Xbox One, more than 2 billion hours played. The top four most common achievements on Xbox One - Forza Motorsport 5's Welcome to Forza Motorsport, Titanfall's Build Yourself, Destiny's Ship Rite and Call of Duty: Ghosts' Spatial Awareness.

All Xbox One owners who have bought their consoles in one of 13 launch territories (up until November 11, 2014) will receive:

- A Year One Gamer Picture
- New Xbox One backgrounds: A special Year One background as well as an exclusive Day One background for those who unlocked the Day One achievement
- A Year One background image for use on Twitter, your desktop, etc.
- A free rental of "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn" (for a limited time)
- A free rental of "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods" movie and a sampler pack of "Dragon Ball Z" TV episodes (for a limited time, available in the U.S. and Canada only)

Additionally you're in with a chance of winning additional prizes including twelve months of Xbox Live Gold, plenty of in-game stuff for games like Grand Theft Auto V, air vehicle shortcut for Battlefield 4, Plants vs. Zombies costume pack for Peggle 2 and much more.
