If you've tried the virtual reality headset Oclulus rift, chances are you really enjoyed the experience. Still, you might not fancy wearing it 24/7 for 28 day straight, which is exactly what UK-based artist Mark Farid plans to do.
Such an experiment, which is what he chooses to call it, does not come free however, as he plans to include other people in the process. More specifically he plans to hire someone to film everything he or she does for a whole month from a first person perspective. Then Farid will relieve that person's life for the same amount of time through the Oculus Rift head set.
The belief is that this experience will be so immersive for Farid that he will lose his sense of self before the month's end.
To gain the means to pay this person whose life he will take over, as well as to pay people for bathing him and other mundane tasks you cannot do yourself while wearing a head set, Farid has started a Kickstarter campaign for his experiment.
He's asking for a rather steep £150,000, but we guess if you really want proof positive that Oculus Rift is comfortable enough to wear for a month then maybe this is the cause for you.
So far people have donated a mere £2,200 to the experiment.
