There has been a lot of competition and attention given to the Donkey Kong world records, but there is of course a scene for other old classics as well. Like Doom II: Hell on Earth. Kotaku reports that the Youtube-user Zero Master has made an old school speedrun in the game without any glitches or tricks, and beaten the previous record of 23 minutes and 25 seconds by Looper.

The new record is 23 mintues and 3 seconds, but Zero Master thinks it could be polished further and says:

"I don't think we will have to wait that long before we see the 23 minute mark broken."

Take a look at the remarkable speedrun via this link (Youtube).
