According to EA's Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen, Microsoft' Xbox One is catching up fast on PlayStation 4 in worldwide sales. He says that it's the recent $50 price drop and attractive bundles that helps them close the gap:
"Clearly, Sony has jumped out to a lead with a great console and I think a great pricing strategy. But Microsoft is catching up quickly"
Jorgensen also says he expects "north of 25 million" PlayStation 4 and Xbox One units sold after this holiday shopping season. Between 15-20 million consoles are believed to have been sold to date, so he really believes in great numbers during the holidays like Thanksgiving in the US and of course Christmas.
Thanks, Gamespot.
