Everyone who has tried the homemade multiplayer mode for Just Cause 2 knows just how much fun it can be. Despite this the Swedish developer Avalanche Studios has revealed in an interview with Gameinformer that the third installment of the series will launch without a multiplayer component. They do however not exclude it from ever being implemented. Christofer Sundberg, co-founder & chief creative officer, Avalanche Studios:
"Our strength is the sandbox experience, and we want to deliver a great Just Cause 3 experience. Maybe sometime down the line, we'll take Rico into the modern world of multiplaying."
