The road has been bumpy for Evolution Studios and their online racer, Driveclub. For starters many gamers have had huge difficulty getting online and racing, and the promised free PS Plus version of the game still hasn't materialised because of the troubles.

By way of apology the studio are offering two premium DLC packs that were planned to be sold later this month, these will now be given to all those who paid for the game.

"The team at Evolution continues to work diligently to resolve all of the server issues," said a statement from the studio.

"We know you have all been extremely patient and understandably frustrated during DriveClub's launch, and to show our appreciation for the support during this challenging time, we will be offering the premium DLC packs for November (25th November-SCEA/26th November-SCEE/27th November-SCEJ) free to those who purchased the full game."

The Ignition Expansion Pack and Photo-Finish Tour Pack include five new cars, more than twenty new tour events, ten new trophies and ten new livery items.

Those that bought the Season Pass will also see that extended until July 2015, with four extra packs added, so nobody feels left out: "players who purchased the pass get everything that was promised."
