During a recent interview with Telegraph, Super Mario's creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, has offered his point of view on several issues, starting from Nintendo's future plans. But when Telegraph asked him what he thinks about game industry, and specifically what he thinks about other companies in the industry, he said:
"What the other companies are doing makes business sense. But it's boring. The same games appear on every system. At Nintendo we want an environment where game creators can collaborate and think of ideas for games that could have never happened before."
Talking about virtual reality, and in particular about Oculus, Miyamoto said he likes the concept itself, and previously Nintendo experimented with the technology in 1995, with the Virtual Boy, but he was worried by the manner in which players hunched over the apparatus: "It didn't look beautiful to me" he says "which was something of a concern".
"I have nothing to tell you about Nintendo's involvement in virtual reality. We have nothing to announce yet", he concluded.
