Radiant Worlds and Smilegate have announced today a new gaming experience called SkySaga, an endlessly evolving multi-player "sandbox", where the story is driven entirely by the players. SkySaga allows players to progress according their preferences, so every single player's journey in the game will be completely different.
"Fantastically varied, procedurally generated, voxel landscapes abound with treasures to plunder, dungeons to raid and resources with which to build and modify. Players dig for minerals, chop trees for fuel and construction, hunt animals for food and build shelters from the elements and the dangers of the night.
"Gamers wishing to challenge friends and rivals have seamless access to ‘Player versus Player' battle arenas. Fighters bring their adventuring gear and building skills to boost attack powers and gain tactical advantages on-the-fly".
"I've been making games for over 30 years and have seen just about everything going, but I've never been as excited about a game as I am about SkySaga. The team at Radiant Worlds has worked incredible magic in bringing art, design, code, audio and technical brilliance together in a game that delivers the most captivating experience imaginable. And remember, with the game just hitting closed alpha, we're at the start of an exciting journey", said Philip Oliver, co-founder and CEO of Radiant Worlds.
"I am thrilled to see the progress of our great new global game, SkySaga. I am proud to present the first view of this amazing evolving online sandbox world to everyone. Radiant Worlds is a great partner for us and together we are striving to invest all of our considerable assets for the successful announcement of SkySaga. I believe players will experience unparalleled stories, beautiful art and amazing design in SkySaga and I look forward to hearing the feedback from the community", said Herald Kwon, group CEO and Founder of Smilegate.
The first SkySaga game is called SkySaga: Infinite Isles and is set for full release on PC in 2015. Here's the first images below.
