A somewhat disturbing side effect of the new digital gaming world we live in is that the games you own digitally can be altered post-release in ways that may not be entirely positive.

Late last week, Rockstar published a new patch for GTA: San Andreas on Steam, and while it sorted some issues (and added support for Xbox 360 controllers) - it also did some things that aren't as positive. Most notably it removed 17 tracks from the radio stations (the same ones missing from the mobile versions and recent "remastered" Xbox 360 version). There's also an odd detail that the game doesn't support 1920x1080 resolutions (something that was fixed in a patch and that has been reverted with later patches).

Thanks, Rockstar Nexus.
