Tim Schafer, the master mind behind titles like The Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle and of course Grim Fandango, has talked a little to the Kotaku about his dreams for the future. Apparently the producer has drawn inspiration from GTAV as of late and dreams about making a sequel to the masterpiece that is Grim Fandango with a sandbox-setting. In an recent interview with the gaming site Kotaku Schafer said this:
"I've had this urge to make a fully 3D version of El Marrow, where it's more like an open world game. You're running around the city and stuff. Games like Grand Theft Auto have a lot of the elements of adventure games, and if there was just an inventory that wasn't guns, you could probably do a full adventure game in one. That's something I've thought about since the '90s."
Thanks, Kotaku.
