Namco Bandai has been having a tough time as of late, and they are now estimating a loss of 31 billion yen ($342 million) instead of a profit of 8.5 billion yen ($93 million) for this fiscal year (ending March 31). Cost saving measure are needed and Namco Bandai will cut 630 of the 7000 strong work force by the end of the fiscal year.

The reason for the huge loss is said to be underperformance by key titles. Tekken 6 comes immediately to mind as well as a whole bunch of Dragon Ball titles. It is unknown whether the cut backs will affect any titles in development.
