It's just natural some fans of the classic point-and-click adventure genre could be interested in revisiting both The Longest Journey (2000) and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey (2006) before this actually long journey comes to an end with Dreamfall Chapters (first book available for a few days now).

The first and second games in the franchise have been available on Steam for a while, so what is actually weird is the iPad and iPhone adaptation of the first title (with 50+ hours of gameplay) is coming out now, perhaps not ideally timed given that Dreamfall Chapters: Book One is already out. What is more, Pocketgamer recalls first word of this iOS port back in 2011.

Anyway, The Longest Journey is now available in Australia and New Zealand version of the App Store for $8.99, and global release should follow this soft-launch "very soon".

If you know the classic adventures by heart and want to try the latest journey instead, stay tuned to Gamereactor for our upcoming Dreamfall Chapters: Book 1 review.
