Nintendo has just announced via Twitter that their Amiibo figurine concept will see release on November 28. Amongst the first wave of characters is evergreens like Mario, Donkey Kong, Samus and Pikachu, but also somewhat lesser known characters like Marth and Wii Fit trainer.
Mario Kart 8 was shown supporting Amiibos at E3 a few months ago, and naturally Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be the big launch title for the characters.
We have also learned that a second batch of Amiibos are due out on December 19 with the following characters added to the line-up: Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Little Mac, Pit and Captain Falcon.
