Microsoft is working on making Windows 10 apps that will run on a selection of different devices, including, by the sounds of it, Xbox One.

"Windows 10 will run across an incredibly broad set of devices, some of these devices have 4 inch screens - some have 80 inch screens - and some don't have screens at all. Some of these devices you hold in your hand, others are ten feet away. Some of these devices you primarily use touch/pen, others mouse/keyboard, others controller/gesture," a blog post teased.

Microsoft's new operating system, which was announced last week, is set to make an appearance on PC in early 2015, and Xbox One is also going to get a major update around the same time, one that'll allow the console to run apps made for Windows 10.

It looks like Microsoft are planning on rolling out an operating system that functions across a variety of devices. Not all apps/programs will work across all systems, but developers will certainly have the option of developing across different Windows-based platforms. What this means exactly for Xbox One, and what kinds of programs will make it into the console space, remains to be seen.
