Steam Curators is a recently launched initiative (part of the Steam Discovery Update) whereby individuals or groups can offer their recommendations on games available on the PC platform.

Since the launch of the new feature, Valve has updated their terms (details here) to state that any Curator who is paid to make a recommendation must declare it to their followers. While that would seem to be common sense, Valve obviously felt like that had to publicly stated.

"If you've accepted money or other compensation for making a product review or for posting a recommendation, you must disclose this fact in your recommendation," says the new terms.
