Ever since the release of both consoles, the Playstation 4 has been the bestselling machine in all territories but North America (and even outselling its rival there at times). Last week however, reports indicate that the Xbox One has managed to outsell Sony's machine in the UK, at least, according to one anonymous retail source who has been in contact with MCV.
On the back of the release of FIFA 15, along with a recent price cut for the console, the source claims that Xbox One hardware sales rose with as much as 155 per cent over the previous week. The PS4 sales saw a big boost with the release of this years FIFA game as well, but an increase of 80 per cent was not enough to compete with Xbox One.
The popularity of the PS4 still seems to be stronger overall though, as FIFA 15 software sales showed a bigger percentage of PS4 versions (32 pre cent) compared to the Xbox One versions (22 per cent).
