Shadow of Mordor wants 6GB of your video memory

High cost to get Middle-earth looking pretty.

If you plan to play the PC version of the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor at it's finest, you might have to grab a new graphics processor, as the game requires a whopping 6 GB of video memory to run smoothly with the "Ultra" settings enabled.

In addition players will have to download an "Ultra HD Texture Pack", after acquiring one of the rather few GPUs in the market that actually is equipped with 6GBs of VRAM.

If you're fine settling for a lower visual quality (and a smaller hole in your wallet), the "High" settings only requires 3GB, while "Medium" and "Low" demands 2GBs and 1 GB.
