Microsoft has lowered the price of Xbox One on their official store, and are now asking for £329.99 for their new-gen console. If the price drop sticks, that means the console will be exactly £100 cheaper than it was when it launched last year.

The new price tag is being reflected by what's being charged by third-party retailers, for example, Amazon are asking for £329.00 for the Sunset Overdrive bundle with a white Xbox One (which is releasing at the end of October).

Microsoft hasn't officially announced the new price, so it may be a temporary drop, we just don't know for sure. We've contacted Microsoft and will update you with their response.

Update

A spokesperson from Microsoft got in touch, and here's what they had to say: "We are always looking at ways to offer the best value for our customers. This is a UK only retail promotion which coincides with our upcoming releases including Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection."
