Mobile phones are soon going to outnumber human beings, according to a new report by the International Telecommunications Union.
According to predictions by the ITU, there'll be 7.3 billion phones on the planet by the end of this year, itself a bold estimate given they reckon that there's currently only 6 billion as we head into September.
But, if they're predictions are correct and we do see a massive spike in the number of phones before the year's end, they'll pass the United Nation's estimate of 7.243 billion people on the planet before 2014 draws to a close.
Thanks, PCR.
