Unreal 4 free for schools and universities

Epic put their tools in the hands of tomorrow's developers.

Epic has just made their game engine, Unreal Engine 4, free for schools and universities (details here). The aim is to provide the developers of tomorrow with the tools needed to make great games (and perhaps keep them using the toolset when they later turn professional). Epic's Ray Davis said: "Students who know Unreal Engine technology have a huge advantage when it comes to job placement."
