Older gamers will undoubtedly remember walking into arcades, the walls of which were plastered with posters and concept art featuring the heroes and villains they played on the screens of the coin hungry machines. That setting, the sense of camaraderie one felt there, and its strangely alluring odour have never been fully replicated after the fall of the arcade and the rise of the home console. The art of the older console generations has largely been lost, save for posters and other memorabilia one can find on auctioning websites, each piece of which is in a more deteriorated state than the last.

A visual compendium featuring the original artwork of Commodore 64's classics such as Mayhem in Monsterland, Lemmings, and Bubble Bobble will be available at FunStock.co.uk from October 1st, giving those of us who fondly remember our youths spent with the console a chance to relive some of those memories. The consoles themselves may have disappeared, but our nostalgia never will.
