Alone in the Dark: Illumination, the Unreal Engine 4-powered class-based, third-person shooter is set to release in late November according to Atari and developer Pure FPS. The game was shown at this year's Gamescom and impressed us with a Left 4 Dead-like structure and lovely tempo.

Similar to Alan Wake, enemies in Illumination are affected by the light. Players must activate sources of light in order to defeat enemies. Additionally, the hunter class is equipped with a flamethrower, which can create light sources throughout selective areas of the environment or simply set enemies on fire.
