One of the best multiplayer stages in the long history of the Halo series (and that's saying a lot) is Lockout from Halo 2. 343 Industries has announced via Twitter that Lockout will be fully remade with new graphics and minor enhancements for the Xbox One exclusive title Halo: The Master Chief Collection. We already knew that Ascension, Coagulation, Sanctuary and Zanzibar would get remakes and 343 still has one unannounced remade map to reveal.
Max Hoberman, lead designer for Halo 2, who works for 343 these days on the multiplayer of The Master Chief Collection had this to say:
"Lockout was hands-down the most popular small arena-style map in Halo 2. We're thrilled to be bringing this fan-favorite back, and are paying close attention to the details and subtleties that made the original great while also making a couple of very careful, very calculated enhancements."
