Sony Online Entertainment boss John Smedley was on a plane today, which had to be rerouted to Phoenix (instead of its original destination San Diego) and then land off schedule. The reason was eventually a bomb threat to American Airlines via Twitter. The threat came from the hacker group who today claimed to have taken both Playstation Network and several services from Sony Online Entertainment offline.
According to a report on GameInformer, FBI are on the case. Not surprising given there was a bomb threat involved.
