We recently met Redacted Studios' David Robinson to learn more about the sequel to Namco Bandai's Afro Samurai that is being put together by members of the original team. We learned some of the reasons why the original failed to live up to expectations and how Robinson's new studio will work to continously evolve the project rather than shipping a boxed product as was the case with the previous game (apparently a lot of work went into an update that was never made available online). Afro Samurai 2: Kuma's Revenge, will see Kuma as a playable character (hence the name), but you'll also be able to play as Afro and other members of the cast. One interesting feature in the game is a special camera that let's you witness the final moments of a boss from the perspective of the boss. It looks a bit weird at first, but it shows the team is willing to add some flair of their own to the game.
Interestingly an effort is also being made to include hip-hop music from all across the world rather than focusing on American acts as with the original.

You can look forward to an upcoming interview with Robinson on GRTV in the near future and Afro Samurai 2: Kuma's Revenge is being targeted for release next year.
